I’ve been told that my unpronounceable surname originates in Sicily, from the area where Camilleri drew inspiration for Montalbano’s Vigata, but I was born in Rome on a Sunday in September. I would bring carry my unaffectionate cat and piles of books to the meadows and mountains. I mainly nurture myself with food, flowers, rocks and light.
