Simona Roveda
Editorial Director and Director of Institutional Communication
Born in Milan, moved to Como, entrepreneur with a passion for nature and the environment. In 1986 she cofounded Fattoria Scaldasole – food company promoting the organic market in Italy – and LifeGate – media network and sustainable development advisor – in 2000, of which she is currently the Editorial and Communications Director.
She is Board member and President of LifeGate Media.
In the past few years she has taken part in a number of initiatives in the social and entrepreneurial field. In May 2001 she participated as a speaker in the International Women’s Forum Convention in Rome, event that promotes female leadership through careers, cultures and continents, connecting the world’s most distinguished women, those who have achieved noticeable successes. For two consecutive years she awarded sustainable communication campaigns with Mediakey’s Interactive Key Award, she was president of the jury of the Make a Change observatory’s Social Entrepreneur of the year prize 2011 and on the jury of the international Technovisionarie Prize in 2013.
She received the international Technovisionarie Prize in 2014 in the Women Media category for her ability and intuition in always communicating environmental issues in a positive and proactive way, fomenting faith in change in people’s hearts.
She is part of associations such as:
- Donne e Tecnologie (Women and Technology), association that promotes projects that aim to optimise female talent, fight gender-based stereotypes and discrimination.
- Soroptimist International Italia, organisation that brings together women with high qualifications in the professional field, and operates through projects aimed at advancing the female condition, promoting human rights, acceptance of diversity, development and peace.
