Water Grabbing Observatory (WGO) is an NGO founded to analyse and create awareness around international social, environmental and economic phenomena connected to water and the climate. It brings together a group of researchers, journalists, photographers and experts to survey, analyse and communicate water and climate crises, and the conflicts and resource grabbing they engender. WGO employs a number of tools: investigative journalism and reportages, infographics, maps, photos and videos shared across a variety of digital and non-digital channels, editorial projects and social media campaigns, exhibitions and events for scientific dissemination, and participation in networks and pressure groups. Water Grabbing Observatory seeks to impact public opinion, political agendas and the private sector with the aim of supporting the right to water and public water, the decarbonisation of the economy, as well as social and environmental justice.
