River Blue by David McIlvride (2017, 95 minutes)
Directed by David McIlvride, this short film was presented at the Milan Fashion Film Festival in 2018. It carries the spectator around the world along the rivers most heavily polluted by the textile industry, and by denim in particular. From China to India, through Bangladesh, river contamination doesn’t only affect the environment, but also the people who depend on and live off of these waterways.
