For China National Day (8th June), there has been a parade of Chinese traditional symbols. Dances, colours and the topics dealt with have underlined the message with which the exposition of the China Pavilion is dripped. The attitude of thankfulness and respect of the resources that support the country and the hope that suggests the prospect of a future where food can offer life to everyone are two of the main reasons why China has taken part in Expo Milano 2015.
The China National Day has started with a meeting between China’s Minister of Science and Technology and the Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research. During the meeting a hundred Chinese and Italian delegates have talked about technological advances, research on the agrobiotechnological field, resource and food waste management in their countries as well as in the whole world.
Technologies and the future are the core themes of China National Day, even though China is still grateful to the farmers who protect the land and feed people worldwide. To highlight the partnership between Chinese production and the Italian market the Kinder + Sport area became a real soccer field where a friendly between Chinese and Italian young champions took place. The central themes of the game were sharing, mutual respect and multiculturalism.
To conclude China National Day, after the announcement of a strategic collaboration between these countries for the Italian and Chinese economic development, emotions have blended with the importance of the topics dealt with by the institutions. Through traditional dances, tastings of local dishes, acrobat performances, musicians, illusionists, Thai Chi dancers and the magic of multimedia dances, we have plunged deeply into the Chinese culture.
