https://youtu.be/CLIyI7853S0 A tornado swept through Veneto, northern Italy, in the afternoon of Wednesday 8th July killing one person and injuring dozens. The storm mostly hit Dolo, in the province of Venice, but also Mira and Cazzago, in the surroundings of the Riviera del Brenta. The tornado and strong wind uprooted trees and took the roof off about fifty houses. It also damaged and overturned a few parked cars.

The only victim was a driver who was exactly into his car when it was lifted a few metres from the ground. President of Veneto Luca Zaia called an extraordinary session of the regional council to understand the significance of damages and what will be the weather trend in the following days.
